LATEST COVID-19 GUIDELINES FOR WEDDING RECEPTIONS AND SOLEMNISATIONS
We are all experiencing a truly unprecedented situation. The COVID-19 global pandemic is affecting every aspect of our lives, from how we work to how we conduct our daily lives at home with our families.
As a media company, we are no different and we are waking up every day to new information about how COVID-19 is affecting our communities, our employees and our customers. We cannot imagine how much uncertainty our couples must be feeling right now.
So, our teams have put together a list of questions from our couples regarding solemnizations and wedding receptions. This page will also be updated when new measures for are announced.
1) CAN WE REMOVE OUR MASKS/FACE SHIELDS FOR PHOTOTAKING AT WEDDING RECEPTION OR SOLEMNISATION?
For wedding reception, face masks or face shields can be removed momentarily for photo-taking and must be worn immediately after. Otherwise, mask can only be removed if they are eating or drinking during the wedding reception.
An exception is made for the wedding couple for solemnizations – only the bride and groom are allowed to remove their face masks or face shields temporarily for key moments of the solemnisation - exchanging of rings, wedding vows, 'kiss the bride’ moment, phototaking and during march ins and outs, and for photo-taking. They must wear their mask back on immediately after.
For home solemnisation, couple and their guests may temporarily remove their masks for photo-taking, and put it back on immediately after.
2) ARE VENDORS (PHOTOGRAPHERS/VIDEOGRAPHERS) INCLUDED IN THE TOTAL HEADCOUNT PERMITTED?
Total head count permitted excludes vendors whom you have engaged for home solemnisation, external venue solemnisation or wedding reception. You are encouraged to keep your vendor's headcount to the minimum as much as possible.
3) CAN WE STILL HAVE PHOTOBOOTH WITH THE CURRENT MEASURES?
Instant Photobooth service with backdrop setup, props and accessories is not allowed with the current measures. Alternatively, you may consider having our MTI approved Roving Photography with Instantprints at your wedding reception. Photographer will be roving around to take photos of your guests and printouts with your personalised border will be delivered to the respective tables. There will be no photo collection point to prevent any intermingling from happening.
4) CAN WE CROSS INTO DIFFERENT ZONES FOR PHOTOTAKING?
Only the bride and groom and designated wedding party are allowed to cross briefly into different zones for photos with their guests. All guests must be assigned to only one zone with fixed seating in the ballroom and are not allowed to cross into another zone at all times.
5) WHAT IS A WEDDING PARTY AND WHO CAN BE INCLUDED IN IT?
Designated wedding party refers to the people you’ve assigned to be the core group of your wedding. They can be your family members, relatives, friends, groomsmen or bridesmaids, Wedding party must be capped at maximum 20 person.
6) WHEN IS PET REQUIRED FOR MARRIAGE SOLEMNISATIONS AND WEDDING RECEPTIONS?
For solemnizations involving 51 to 1,000 attendees, PET is required for all attendees (including the wedding couple) unless the attendee has a cleared status. For wedding receptions involving up to 250 attendees, PET is required for all attendees (including the wedding couple) unless the attendee has a cleared status.
The PET must be done (i) Before entry to the marriage solemnization or wedding reception; and (ii) At most 24 hours before the end of the event.
7) DO EXTERNAL VENDORS (SOLEMNIZERS/FLORISTS/PHOTOGRAPHERS/VIDEOGRAPHERS) NEED TO UNDERGO PET?
Unless the vendors are also guests of the marriage solemnization or wedding reception (e.g. sits down at a table like other guests), there is no need to arrange PET for the vendors. However, some vendors, such as F&B staff in restaurants, may be under a separate Fast & Easy Test (FET) regime.
